B5's influence of long-form storytelling in scifi is strongly felt today in shows like The Expanse. Visually the original has aged a lot, but the story still holds very well. How do you telling continuing story of our original Londo without the original Vir? Or G’Kar? How do you tell Sheridan’s story without Delenn? Or the story of B5 without Franklin? Garibaldi? Zack? To those who have asked why we’re not just doing a continuation…for a network series like this, it can’t be done because over half our cast are still stubbornly on the other side of the Rim. Better to go the way of Westworld or Battlestar Galactica where you take the original elements that are evergreens and put them in a blender with a ton of new, challenging ideas, to create something both fresh and familiar. So we will not be retelling the same story in the same way because of what Heraclitus said about the river.

My one question: if I wanted to purchase the complete series, what do I use (an external drive?) to store the entire series onto? I would do the purchase and download off of iTunes (sounds like it's better off iTunes than off of HBOMax).Īmazon version is the highest quality I've seen so far, each episode is around 3.1GB, compared to around 2.6GB for HBOmax versions, and while not everyone will notice the difference side by side, grain structure holds up better, and less macroblocking it's quite obvious when you a/B screenshots, but both are still good options.
